European UV climatological maps for ground-based stations
RIVM have analysed over 200,000 spectra, distributed over 6437 measurement-days in 24 monitoring years (1992-2000) for 7 different sites. Daily and monthly doses have been constructed for sites that have produced data covering over two-thirds of the days in a month. In total 170 monthly sums could be constructed out of the 24 monitoring years. First results include data from Hohenpeissenberg, Potsdam, Ispra, Jokioinen, Bilthoven, Thessaloniki and Reading. Monthly sums of effective UV irradiance (CIE action spectrum)
